Its based on middle earth and tolkiens ideas but thats all it said.

let's take a moment of silence in his honor, and pray he gets involved in a movie based on The Silmarillion! I'd easily pay $20 to watch it a few times through...

im not sure about a silmarrilion based film.it is more of a book that tells you about how middle-earth came to be and doesn`t really have a filmy story line.if he did he would have to (i think) alter the story line quite a bit. but it would be a good idea though...

It would be an interesting idea, but there wouldnt be as many people going to see it, seeing as it would be basically a history film, only the die hard lord of the rings fans (like us ;D) would go see it.

I would definatly go to see it. But i don`t know weater anyone would go to see it.About it being changed, i would not like to see one of Tolkiens masterpieces changed to muched. I think it would be a hit but not as big as The Lord Of The Rings.

Yes well, they'd need a different director to make it if they would have to change the storyline and Tolkiens work.
PJ followed Tolkiens ideas religiously so i could never see him changing to story that much

Very good point. Maybe if PJ does direct it he may just find a way to get round the proplem and prove himself once again.

Well, hes currently trying to prove himself once again in a new film called King Kong, its a remake of the classic. But with PJ directing its bound to be good ;D

Well it should be a good film. The reason i think we can all guess. PJ ;D. Well the lotr films are unbeatable.
But if something did it would have to be special.

Like who? I haven’t seen a movie in a long time that I liked as much as Lord of the Rings.

I know, I'm just saying, you lot are making out that he's a god or something, he's good but not the best

He is no god, and I haven’t seen his other films, so I would have to withhold voting for his as Director of the Century.
