I have just returned from seeing ROTK, and I have to say it was better than the last two. Yes saruman wasn't needed as Isengard wasn't a big feature in the movie. I have to say that the movie was superb, except the Orc leading the assault on Minas Tirith could have looked better.

My faverouite part was the Rohan army flanking the advancing Orcs, and causing chaos, but I will say no more. Definatly worth the 3 pounds 75 pence .

I really hope that they have a LOTR marathon day at the cinema. Where for a whole 10+ hours (extra footage included) they just show all of the movies back to back, with intervals inbetween. It would rock i would love to see them all on the big screen again.

I saw RotK yesterday and it was way better than the previous two. I agree that Saruman wasn't really needed, except maybe just before they found the Palantir as it would have been good to see Grima throw it out. Other than that though, it was excellent.

Yes, I am glad with PJ. He has done a great job with the whole LOTR trilogy, and has chosen some of the best actors. Good job Peter!

Yes i also think pete did a good job on the movie, well great job although he makes me upset about the shire scene with "sharky". I read in a newsweek that good ol PJ never liked that part of the book and didnt want to film it, it also said not to expect to see it in the extended dvd

Like they did at the end of the return of the king book. Would have made the film too long.
