And then was that age thing, when Eowyn found out Aragorn was old enough to be her grandfather. It adds more to the ‘I’m older than I look’ line. But of course that is nothing when you compare Aragorn to Arwen, who is a lot younger than she looks.

Yeah, age is a fickle thing in M-E. ;D
Elrond must be old though, to be able to fight in the battle of the last Alliance...

He was a lot older; his brother was Elros, the first King of Numenor. That line lasted thousands of years and into the northern kingdom and Gondor. Which does make Aragorn and Arwen cousins too. I always thought that was an amusing tidbit of information.

Yes they knew all about it. Genealogies were very important back then. Besides, they are cousins removed by a couple thousand years, and you have to admit she looks very nice, cousin or no ;D

I could understand if they didn't know until after they got married, but I think they already knew.

Lol, you have to remember the times. Back in medieval Europe all the royalty was related one way or another, England, France, Prussia, Russia, ect…And if you want something even worse, read the story of Turin in the Sillmarileon.

Ok, Arwen was 2777, Aragon was 88 and Elrond was 6517 at the time of the Battle of the Pellenor feilds and the defeat of Sauron. And Arwen and Aragon were'nt really cousins. Just that Elrond took him under the wing when something happened to his parents, and acted as a foster parent. Or so my sources say. I would say they are close. Abit like brother and sister. Grew up together. Or so i am told

Hmmm, well if they're not really cousins then its alright. I mean, if what you say is right, then they havn't got the same blood, so its all good ;D.

They are remote cousins, as Elrond was the brother of Elros, who is Aragonr's direct ancestor.
