Well, it might be Quenya, but I know more of Sindarin. Theres more than one kind of elvish!!! This is confusing...

Yep, i think theres only two though, so its not that bad. But i agree, it just makes it all the more confusing.
Also, if you made a mistake Merwin, then you can just modify your origional post and correct it.

Yeah, there is ancient elvish, Sindarin, Quenya, and a few variations. Try this site. www.uib.no/People/hnohf/It is one of my secrets at being okay in elvish.

Is Quenya high elvish?? Because i know there was a high elven tongue...
lingwilócë...what a strange elvish name. Apparently it means fish-dragon but i don't remember reading anywhere about fish-dragons!!

I tihnk one of the two (sindarin or quenya) is high elfish, but i cant be sure.

Lol. Sindarin and quenya are the only types of Elvish. And quenya is high Elvish.

you all may know how to speak in elvish a bit, but how about black speech? Feel free to visit the Brotherhood and check out the Quenya dictionary and/or Black speech dictionary, Im glad we have Saebryn in our kinship ;D

yes, but I actually know moore sindarin than saebryn does, he just knows more Quenya, (and the rest of the languages.) Oh! sorry!
Cc'mon, you guys are elves, and I am running circles around most of you . What am I, The uber elf?! Just kidding, not many choose to waste hours and hours learning elvish. It could take months!

Anyway, I dont think many of us actually know much of Elvish off by heart, except Amras though, he knows quite a bit. I could never really find the time to learn, got too much other stuff to be worried about. ;D
