Valandil was in mid slash when the Ents entered the clearing, and he stopped in awe. He had never seen an ent before, and he could not move for he was too amazed by the site. The orc he was fighting saw an opening and went to cut Valandil's throat, but was stopped short by one of the ents. The wind created by the ents swinging foot knocked Valandil from his feet, and back to his senses. He rose and looked around for his friends. The orcs were in a frenzy, and they couldnt get away, Valandil thought it safe to sheath his blade. He ran over to his friends and saw that they were more or less alright, "My friends, I am ashamed" he joked "you have but not a scratch, and I cannot use one of my arms" he smiled and chuckled a little, then clapped both of them on the shoulder "Thank you, for coming to my aid"

"Don't worry about it, you would do the same.........I hope." Fëanáro turned and laughed, he wondered if one of these Ent's was Treebeard, "Thank you for saving us, we are forever in your debt, by any chance is one of you Treebeard?", "Oh we saved you? We were but saving ourselves, if you had not moved we may have crushed you." Fëanáro noticed the Ents talked really slowly, "As for Treebeard." The Ent pointed "I believe he is over there, not far from here, you can't miss him."

Fëanáro packed his stuff and recovered as many arrows as possible, he made them himself and wasn't ready to waste them at a time like this, the sun was rising and it was about time they got going he just needed to wait for the others...

The other companions gathered all there supplies, including any salvagable arrows, and came in behind Feanaro. They said thank you to the ents and left in the way they told them Treebeard was. The pain still burned in Valandil's shoulder, but he had done as he had promised Imbeglin. "On my life" he mumbled to himself as the three friends walked together. Feanaro had apparantly said something funny as Terondin was laughing.

There was a clearing ahead, Fëanáro guessed it was where Treebeard would be so he quickened his pace, they reached a clearing and Fëanáro was just had time to see Treebeards hand then nothing, he had been struck againtst a tree on the suspicion he was an orc, Treebeard looked at the other two and noticed they were elves along with the one he had just hit...

Valandil ran to Feanaro's side and knelt beside him, he seemed alright, though he may have a broken bone, he could not tell. Valandil turned to Treebeard "Why have you done this to my friend, can't you see we are of elven kindred, or do you hate our kind so?"
((OOC: could somebody talk as Treebeard please))

((OOC: I’ll try my best, but Treebeard may be a little hard to imitate))
Treebeard looked at Valandil and said, “Now don’t be hasty, young sir. It was my hastiness that led to this unfortunate accident. I had mistaken them for burarum, orcs. I regret harming any elf, and a I certainly do not hate elves. We had been roused into anger, and in this we had mistaken your kin for foes when rushed to us. Thankfully they live still, unless me senses are mistaken( they are rarely if ever are). What did bring you here in the first place, if you do not mind my asking? You need not hurry your tail, you must tend to your injured first.”

Terondin looked up at the ancient Ent, "Lord Fangorn, we apologize for intruding on you so abruptly. But we have an urgent message for you from our leader, Imbeglin. We have had much trouble from orc raids, and we would be glad for your counsel on the matter. It is all explained in a letter for you." He turned to his companions, including Fëanáro, who was now starting to come to. "Which one of you has the letter?"

((OOC: Thanks Galdor, nice work))
"I do" Valandil replied and stepped forward "Hail Master Treebeard, I am Valandil, and my companions are Terondin and Feanaro, and as already said we come with word from Imbeglin, who now dwells along with us and many of our kin, in Fangorn, he has given me this letter" Then Valandil proceeded to read the letter... it read as thus:
Most gracious Master Fangorn, I would have like to have thanked you pesonally for allowing us elves to stay in your forest, but I have been extremely busy over the past two to three weeks and so I have sent this letter for two reasons.
1.) To thank you for allowing us to reside in you forest; and;
2.) To ask you on your advice on the problem of orcs in your forest.
You see, our camp has recently been attacked by orcs and we have been left to deal with the aftermath, a few dead and dozens wounded. What could we do to stop these attacks from happening? Any advice at all, good or bad, will be looked at in a good light.
Thank you in advance,
Imbeglín Oronrá.
As Treebeard thought about the letter, taking it all in, Valandil saw Feanaro was rousing, and went over to him. "My Friend, are you ok? You took a mighty blow" He gave him some of his water from his pouch and sat him up against the tree, then went over and stood by Terondin, waiting for Treebeards reply

Fëanáro tried to get up but fell back down, it was just his luck to get struck by an Ent, "Valandil, I think he broke my arm! I can't move it!" Fëanáro touched his arm and cried with pain, it was swelling and was painful when touched, Fëanáro closed his eyes and just lay against the tree, there was noting he could do

Treebeard took in the news in his slow usual manner. Staring at the group of elves. After a few minuets of thinking, he replied, “Hrum, now, well this is serous news indeed, make no mistake. The orcs are growing bolder each day. They have just recently been sending parties into the forest. Small groups of orcs have been scouting the land for some time now, but these larger groups are a new thing. Hm, hoom, you say that your camp was attacked by orcs? Very serous indeed. As for advice, I would suggest that you stay away from the darker reaches of the forest. Some of the Ents have become... humm treeish, and may not distinguish you from orcs. As for the problem with the orcs, that will need some long thought and consideration. We do not want to be hasty. Yes, I shall need to think on this subject for some time before I decide on an action.”

"GREAT! Thanks for nothing!" Fëanáro limped off into the woods with his arm trailing at his side, he didn't know where he was going and he hoped somebody would follow him to stop him...

Treebeard called after him, “Do not be hasty young sir, I did not say that I would abandon you. I am sure that some of the younger ents would enjoy ... hoom ... patrolling the forest for orcs. Qickbeam for an instants, would probably be happy to search for orc parties that might come within your area of the forest. I will think of some others that might accept such an offer.

"Yeah, sure, great, go tell it to Valandil he's the leader of the group." With that Fëanaro sulked off hoping this time Terondin would catch him and stop him, he didn't know why he said what he said but knew he shouldn't have....

"Fëanaro! Wait!" Terondin ran over to the Elf, who was walking away in the fringe of the clearing. "Where do you think you're going! Do you even realize you have a broken arm!?" He got to Fëanaro and stopped him, and forced Fëanaro to sit down. Terondin quickly made a splint out of branches and several pieces of rope, and tied it onto Fëanaro's broken arm tightly. Then he looked at Fëanaro sharply. "Why are you walking away from us? You're one of us, my companion and friend. You can't leave. Please." Terondin offered his hand to Fëanaro's unbroken one.
