This thread is for people to post any OOC messages they have for the RP boards, such as a history of one of the threads or such.
EDIT: Don't post OOC messages on the actual RP threads as they mess them up.

Alright heres what you basicly need to know about the Quest Into Fangorn rp...
Starts out with a group of elves from Lothlorien that are traveling into Fangorn to meet Imbeglin and join his kinship. They meet some trouble with wargs on the way, and fight them off, losing i think 1 elf. They meet up with Imbeglin and he takes them back to camp (if you want details its around page 4 or 5 that they meet with him, and they have some conversations). Anyway, he leads them to camp, they hang around there for a while and then it skips ahead a few weeks (enter me ;D) Imbeglin calls for volunteers to search out Treebeard for help to protect the forest. Valandil (me), Elenar and Feanaro all went out and brought back Treebeard and some ents and Imbeglin talked with him. The three volunteers rested after another battle, and then this side story with Gelmir starts, but finishes abrutly, thus we are to where Imbeglin calls the meeting ( If i have missed anything im sorry but could somebody else please mention it thanks).
This is just a basic summary, if you would like details you should skim through, or read, the posts

Forgive me if im not making sense here but in the Retaking of Moria thread, it has been what... a few hours, Elrohir sent out his messengers just a little while ago. So...
It would take quite a while to reach everyone else, so therefor we would not need to be getting everything together for the "raid" right now, we need to go to the meeting first. We would need an army to retake Moria, not just a small group, and that would take time to gather. The rp seems to be moving too fast.
I suggest, that we just fast forward a little, saw a month or so, to the meeting where we discuss what is to be done. That way, we give it the appropiate amount of time so it seems more realistic, and we can forgo most of the "getting ready". How does this sound to everyone else? This is just my opinion after all

Ok, sounds good. Ill do it right away. Other members can join later if they want, mabye say that the message was delayed somewhat.
But what will this meeting be about, all there is to talk about is wether they're going into the mines or not.
Lastly, just look at the fellowship, they took down a hell of a lot of orcs, and if they can do that, then we can retake Moria.

I don't know what it will be about, we really don't even need one, except it's sort of like gathering our forces together, you know. And I see your point about the fellowship, but 1. they were some of the best fighters, and 2. those that they killed, were probably but a fraction of the total number, plus if we plan to add other things, like the things mentioned in the new Rps thread, then that will make even more trouble

Ok, you guys, In Retaking of Moria, I don't quite think that 1, it takes four elves to kill two orcs, and 2, how'd you all know the name of my elf? We've never met and it's not like i'm wearing a name tag...am i?

Ok, little mistake there, mabye you could just edit your posts so you greet us by announcing your name first. Also, all the elves noticed the battle, normally it wouldnt take 4 to kill them, but 4 fought the orcs anyway.

But i never mentioned you in character by calling you your name. I just said i saw Elenar fighting, i didnt say my character knew who you were.

That implies that your character knows mine, and thus, that we've met. You could have used terms like "strange Elf" or something like that.

btw what timeline is this all taking place, like retake moria and Iron hills?
Also can in game characters be in 2 RP threads?

Yep, you are allowed to particitate in as many RPs as you like.
Also, i dont know what time the Retaking of Moria RP is, but i suggest that we make it just after the Fellowship has exited it. So all the orcs are active.
