Well I suppose, but if we do it after the fellowship, then that means no Balrog. We could always just make up another strong, or many strong, things to face, harder or as hard as a balrog, I think we should do this even if we have a Balrog. But i'm just saying, after the fellowship means no balrog.

Yeah i suppose, a nazgul would be fun to fight ;D.
And Valandil, i agree with you there, there would be no Balrog. And we've already said that there would be a Balrog in the RP. So i think we should make it so we get there before the Fellowship does.

Or, seeing as we would need to defeat the Balrog to cleanse Moria, we could just have this be like the whole fellowship thing will never happen. I mean, if we destroyed the Balrog, then that would throw off the whole lord of the rings thing all together, so lets just say there is no fellowship, and will never be one, for the sake of this rp

Well we could just drive the Balrog back then it comes back to moria as the fellowship arrive... ;D

Well then this rp would all be for naught, for the goal is to cleanse moria and give it to the dwarves, but we would end up giving it back with a balrog still there, and they would all die, pointless if you ask me. Thats why i suggest that its as if there has never, and will never be a fellowship. Really it doesnt matter, we can just not mention anything about them either way, and it'll be fine

I say that we go in after the fellowship so the Balrog is gone, but we did not know that the fellowship even existed never mind passed through there. That way it could explain how we thought there was a Balrog down there, but there wasnt. Because lets face it, none of us would be able to kill the Balrog.

Well Gandalf did a pretty good job of it.
I agree with Valandil, lets make it so the Fellowship thing never happened, so we can actually get to fight the Balrog. If you want the Balrog might not even be the "Boss", instead there could be more, stronger monstors further down the mines.

I dont agree with fighting the Balrog and living, only one of the maia or sdomething incredibly powerful could destroy that monster, and we just couldn't. I think we either go down after the fellowship and its already gone but we still have an adventure (because remember not many people knew about the fellowships journey), or we go there before, face it and die. It certainly would be a twist from the usual storylines of RP's.

well... I have changed my mind, I agree with Elvensword, there is no way we could defeat it. And Im all for the whole dying against some godly foe or whatever. But let us not speak of the end of the rp, just take it in as it goes, and how it ends is how it ends, i dont wanna plan the end of the rp before it has even really taken on its full shape yet, that ruins the whole point of rping.

Hm that is an intresting post. the reason for there beuty is that they livein both worlds. Tolkien never namned them but i call them this the Shadow world and the Living world. Barrowdown wrights and nazgul are just "memories" of this world. they live in the shadow world. Same with Sauron. Elves can actually see both.
Elves dont go to the abyss. They go to the hall of waiting ( i think there called or Meathros or something like that) where they can choose at there will to return to the house of the living. (elves are immortal they can never truely die.)

Well our host bodies at the time sure can as is proved many times in Tolkiens books.
And Elrohir, why'd you have to kill yourself off? QIF is the main thread that tells the stories of our lives in MEO. Are you saying you will just die in MEO and never come back?
