The Ranger Taldur sat at the edge of Rivendell, gazing perhaps for the last time on his home. Elrond had asked him to take up a dangerous task, one quiet likely to end with his death rather than to return home. The west needed information on Saroun's power in the east, strengths and weaknesses. How many armies can be raised and what weapons to be used in battle. It was Taldur’s skills as a Ranger that brought him to Elrond’s attention. Elrond has been asking around his household for those willing to join in the venture.

Lenwe walks up to Taldur and says" If you will permit me, I shall go with you" Life has been peacefull but something has been building up inside me that tells me i need a quest. We might not return, but i am willing to take a risk for Elrond.

There was a clucking along the path. A battle worn elf walked up to Taldur. He had a ful coat of gold armor on, and 2 blades and a dagger round his waist. He had a bow and a jam packed quiver of arrows. He had a scar running down his face, a wound from long long ago. "I will fight with you. I have been alone and a ranger for 200 years. I think you will find my skills usefull. That is, if you need me"

The three companions left the next morning. The weather was gray and stormy, not a partially good omen for the beginning of a journey. The small company came to a large river, overflowing with rain water.

The there was a ding. It was the rain on Amras' armour. It started to pour down. "Well, what i nice day for a reconasance mission." Amras Said.
Then the bush moved. Quickly Amras Sent a arrow into it. An orc fell out dead. "We are under attack already" Amras Shouted.

Taldur heard Amras’s shout. An orc raiding party had crossed the river and was attacking them. Taldur started to pour arrows into the orcs. Sadly the ponies were spooked by the orcs presence ran in all directions, many fell into the river.

Amras drew his 2 blades and charged the orcs. Mmany fell benth them, and the feared warrior battled against the 100 orc strong party.
