What'd be neat if you could find and use the weapons that are used by the heroes in the book? Like for example, you could go into Imladris and borrow *cough steal cough* Hadhafang!

Nah, i don't think that would happen because the DEVs don't want to change Tolkiens world much and it would change it alot if any random person could take a famous weapon.

Yah, I guess so, the devs obviously don't want to have the average Elf picking up a special weapon, cause then, anyone could and we'd have this black market of special weapons. That'd probably throw off game balance

Unique powerful weapons will be thrown in . Someone running round with the Narsil and the Witch King's sword would be stupid though. If they did have Narsil ect. as weapons it wouldn't be true to Tolkien, also the person with it would claim to be King of Gondor .

Hey, what's wrong with usurping Aragorn before he claims the throne? ;D

They will have some classes of swords like a sword level or something because obviously an elvish sword would cut through armour better than a rubbish little sword that as hobbit got from a dead orc.

Yeah, I wonder what rules they will run on..... Like Longsword +1 will be onbviously better than a Longsword. Weapon classes like slashing, blugeon ect. could be better against some armours than others. Also I wonder if they will have AC (probly will) oooo we will just hav'ta wait . Oh and Happy New Years Day!

what is AC? I've seen them before in MUDs which I play, and supposedly, the lower they are the better. What are they for? If someone could enlighten the matter

AC stands for Armour Class in RPG's that run on the Dungeons and Dragons rules. Yeah the lower the better, like there would be Leather which (lets just say is) 15 AC then somthing like Blackrock Armor (yes I know they dont use AC it in Ultima, but it is an example) would be say 1. You can get magical Armour too which may have lower ACes but has other advantages (example: Immunity to Sleep).

i wonder if its the same for arrows. for instance you could get poison arrows or something. and these would be better than a normal arrow.

Yeah. They'll probably have bows that shoot further or stronger than others like a Galadrim bow will shoot further than an orc bow and be more accurate, like less shaking. And you could have arrows with firey tips to set your enemies on fire.

And when crafting, have the initial materials. Like different qualities of wood and bowstrings. On swords different metals and stuff. And also on armour (if you can craft armour, I'm not sure).
