Pets???

Does anybody know if we will be able to have any types of pets, not like horses or anything but pets like maybe dogs or something, or maybe like familiars like an eagle or something, not a great eagle, just a small one, cause i think that would be pretty cool, just wondering, although im probably thinking we won't

I haven't heard anything about this, but it would indeed be interesting. I know that there were dogs in the Shire but I'm not sure as if the Devs would incorporate this into the game.

If they did, what would you have? My hobbit would have a cat (were there domesticated cats in Middle Earth?) and my Elf would remain petless.

Id love to have a horse, id get to run people over in it ;D

Also i think we should be able to tame wild animals that we find, like wolves, then get the wolf to attack something else.

They have, in fact, not mentioned anything about pets; I do know in the FoTR, they showed a dog in the streets. But who knows what types of animals they will have (if they have any)!

Yes, i think having pets would be a very nice and realistic feature for the game.

personally I would love the idea of having a pet, i saw in the two towers, in edoras they have a dog that looks somewhat like a greyhound maybe, i dont know, but maybe you could get a dog... I would like some sort of loyal, four legged 'friend' that walked by me, like a dog, and could help me, like attack and stall or distract the enemy, a dog, or wolf, or some exotic animal like a tiger, haha
