Correct, but there is the slight catch that if a kinship wants to raid another kinship, which will most probably be implemented, there must be some way for them to get in. They could have to go through a skill check to unlock the door, or just a strength test to knowck down the door. The houses cant be invincible. Agreed player houses can be (unless thieves are implemented) and thats ok, but kinship houses will probably have the option to be taken over.

Nope, you couldnt do it on SWG, and lets think about it. A kinship has spent all its money buying a house and then a bigger kinship comes along and raids it. It's a bit unfair. I doubt they'll let this happen and i dont think you can do this is other MMORPGs, If a kinship wants to raid another, theyll have to catch them outside their house or have a stakeout outside their base and shoot people who come outside like a seige.

Very intressting Elvensword...
I would go with your idea. It would be preety unfair. But there may be a skill. A rare one at that. But you can't destroy it or any of the possesstions. (Theives can steal though).
Thats what i would say.

Of cours,e with my theory it would be hard to get into the house. They would have to undergo a skill check and mabye more things, and get past the traps we set (if available). Im just saying this cause i think it will add a bit more realism to the game.

Yeah but in a MMORPG, people spend hours getting money and if it gets stolen it can be very upsetting. Like in all MMORPGs, you can lock your house so no-one apart from people with rights can get in. And Amras about the stakeout, i was just saying thats what people could do, im not saying we would do it.

I know. But i think that more of the battles would happen outside the Kinship home. On the plains and stuff.
But what if people could go in the houses without invite. But the people whos kinship home it is can attack and you can attack back. But you can't attack without being attacked.
Complicated but it works.

To stop stronger kinships simply invading and murdering your kinship, only same "level" kinships will be able to attack. This would mean that a kinship with the same rough amount of members and roughly the same average character lvl could attack you, but you have a chance of winning. Of course, it would be unfair for the attacking kinship to be able to steal money and items, so i dont tihnk that should be allowed.

If you can't steal stuff, then what do theives do???
But at the start, every kinship will be able to attack each other.
But i don't think it works because the best and strongest kinship with loads of memebers won't be able to attack any one and the worst kinship won't attack anyone, because they can't.
But then not every one will be in a kinship. So what will happen with them?
I would think that there can be fights anywhere except in a kinship place.

So your just saying that you want a fully PVP world? Ok, thats fine, except game devs have never liked the idea of PVP (not just for MEO, but for every other game i know). The reason for this is that its unfair for low level people as they just get killed all the darn time. But it does raise questions as too how PVP will be implemented. If your following someone, you dont want to ask for their permission to attack them.
Also, i believe that my idea will work. Strong kinships that dont have any opposers will have to wait for a kinship to get as strong as them so they can attack. This will mean that really strong kinships are limited in some way, which is needed. And low level kinships will have a motivation to gain more members and level up, which is a good thing.
The people who are not in a kinship will probably be subject to the full world PvP system. Depending on how the Devs implement PvP, they will either attack at will, or ask permission to attack players.
And how do you know that there will be thieves?

I heard that there would be a theif class of Hobbit. Maybe not.
Maybe there can be a different server for fully PvP battles and stuff.
And how will the small kinships level up if they can't attack other players?
There are many more things i want to say about this but this is the wrong subject, so we will leave it there.

There is a thief class for hobbits. Check the player races section on the official site.

I think the theif will probably just be able to pickpocket or something basic like that. Stealing from houses will probably not be allowed as it is just unfair.

Yeah, stealing from a house would be kinda unfair. I quite like the idea of pickpocketing someone else though, sounds fun ;D.

But think about how nasty it would be if you've just bought a brand new sword and you've been doing loads of missions and saving up for it for ages. Then some fat hobbit burglar comes along and takes it from you and runs off. All that work for nothing. It would be so bad.
