I was just wondering if elves might be able to read moon writing (like Elrond did in the Hobbit. I mean it only seems right if the Dwraves have runes...

Maybe elves could write secret messages to other elves in moon writing so they couldn't be intercepted...

I think that moon writing is where they can only see the writhing in the moon of a specific day.
If yes. Then that may be possible. Good point you brought up.

Yeah, thats a great idea. But i dont think you will be able to write messages to each other, cause i thought moon writing was just reading what the moon just happened to say for itself on a certain day.

It would be an awfully inconvenient way of communication for in game. Some moon writing could be read on any night with a moon, while others had pacific requirements on moon size, date, and season. Even for the any night type of moon writing we would need to wait for night to come.

They say that races and language will have a big part to play in MEO, for instance if a group of hobbits were adventuring and an old dwarven mine and they saw runes, only a dwarf would be able to read them so it would fare them well to have a dwarf in their company. Also you can speak in your races language if you didnt want other races to hear it like if a group of elves had captured some rogue himans, then they could speak elvish so they humans would not understand. But races can teach other races their native language so you have to be careful which language you're using and where.

Hmm, sounds good. A similar system to Star Wars Galaxies. Getting to teach each other your native languages and all.

Oh no!!! Elements of SWG in MEO?! That’s the worst news I’ve heard all day. I haven’t played it before, but every one I’ve talked to hated it. Maybe they will take some of it’s good ideas. But I wonder, did SWG have any good ideas?

Yeah, SWG actually had the gameplay and content for it to be a good game. Its just that the developers rushed it way to much, in the end it ruined the game. So if MEO take elements from it, i cant imagine that it will be that bad... ;D

SWG did have some good ideas, its just that it was too rushed. But the ideas and theory behind it was excellent.

It will definately be unique. But they cant really help take some ideas from other games. The ideas are very good ones and without them the game would be less popular, so they might as well include them.

Yeah. Ii'm quite sure it will not be unique, but will be a true LOTR game. With a hint of other good games i it. Well.....at least i hope.

All games have hints of other games in them because some rules of game making are essential.
