Yeah, voice is very hard for developers to implement into games. You get these idiots going around shouting into the mic so loud your ear bleeds...
Also, if your trying to warn somebody, and someone else tries aswell, then you both speak at the same time, making it hard for the person in trouble to hear you. Ive only ever played one MMORPG with a mic, they did it really well, but its just doesnt work with these type of games.

Maybe. I never really thought of that. Its just im worried that they may make a speaking system like Runescape.
NO NO NO thats a silly thought.

Nahhh, the speaking system was a bit dodgy on Runescape, i mean, you couldnt even see what you were typing...
It will be that basic kind of system, but it will be improved alot in MEO.

I just hope so. But the quick tab button. You press it and a message appears. Is that right. Sorry for the stupid question.

Yep, but i dont think they're called quick tab buttons (they might be, but not within the in-game community), they're called hotkeys really.

Yeah thats it. Also your charcater says it rather than it just appearing so sound is involved.

Oh yeah, hmm, i wodner what game i saw that in...nevermind, in it when hotkeys were pressed, tehre would be a voice function to go with the text, so your character would actually say something like, "Charge at them!" or other things, it was pretty cool. ;D

Yeah thats what happens on battlefield vietnam, everyone just yells "GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO" for ages. It gets really annoying. But in a way it adds realism and its kind of cool.

Yeah, but it makes you think if its like that on a real battlefield...which it obviously isnt, but it makes you wodner anyway. ;D

I suppose if you did have character voices you need to make them in some way or another specific. You don't want a man sounding like a woman!

You will probably choose a voice you want when you create your character.

Yeah, they had that on Neverwinter Nights. You got to pick what type of voice you had and everything.
