How are we supposed to communicate in MEO?
Will we type it or can some people use mics?

Well, i assume every person in MEO will be using a keyboard for chat. Not everyone has a mic so that would be to impractical.

From what I’ve read on the Middle Earth Online forums, the devs haven’t said anything on how communication would be handled. I’ve heard people speculate on some mail system, or maybe a form of email or an instant messenger. Perhaps we could all play with msn messenger on to.

yeah i think that keyboards will probably be it.
but it would be cool to hear the person's voice you're speaking to.

Yeah, it would be like Xbox live what with all the mic talking and all. Now thats pretty cool.
Also, an email system would be pretty cool.

Yeah, but now seeing as its been delayed, it looks like we're gonna have to wait that extra bit longer for the game to arrive.

I think it'll be just typing and it'll work something like: close range speaking, shouting so people can hear further away, whispering, and PMing.

I think you should be aloud to have a channel open at all times to people you want to hear you, and press and button when you want every one in general to hear.

I was wondering about that too. How we would just talk to the person we wanted to.
And there would be a button to shout like "Attack!" or something.

You cant have everyone hear you or people would always be shouting throught the whole of middle earth. They might have a system like on SWG where there is a channel for your kinship to talk on no matter how far away they are.

Ok, but i think they might have basic short commands in windows on the top of the screen like on battlefield vietnam where F1 is attack, and F2 is follow etc.
