The whole Uruk-hia breeding shows how much Saruman became like the one he devoted all his time to fighting. He spent so much try to learn about Sauron, he became just like him

there is no difference between orcs and goblins. the reason why Tolkien uses goblins in the hobbit is because the hobbit was first written as a childrens story. and orc is more scarier than goblin...

Hobbits had always called orcs goblins. The one thing I always wondered about was in the Hobbit Galdalf mentioned Orcs, goblins, and hobgoblins in the same sentence. That was the only place they seemed to be separate as species. I figured that goblins were a smaller species of orcs, like the tracker orc or a snagga.

yeah a Moria Goblin is a hybrid form of orc that has adapted to life underground and is even more affected by sunlight than another orc.

So yes Orcs, Goblins, Urukia, and hobgoblins are different creatures. The reason they are different is because they all adapted to different areas of Arda (exept Urukia) Urukia are Dunland Humans mixed with Orcs. Orcs are taller, stronger, and all around better than Goblins who are weaker, and smaller. Though I don't know about the hobgoblins. Maybe its hobbit and orc?

I think that most of the orc breeds come from the first orcs, and mutation and adaptation caused the other breeds. Sort of dogs have all sort of breeds, but they are still dogs. Of course the Uruk-hia are different because of Saruman’s meddling
